Rick Hill Jon Sonju 2012
Rick Hill is running for Governor of the State of Montana. He choose Jon Sonju as his running mate. Here is a picture of them while campaigning. Note that Sonju is a state senator, and a 36 year old business man from the Flathead (Kalispell area) of Montana.

While the Champagne bottles may be a bit early, it is nice to see that a Baby Boomer like Rick Hill can see talent in the Generation X crowd in Jon Sonju from Kalispell.
I doubt that Rick Hill has threatened anyone's livelihood like Steve Bullock did to protect a party line official in Montana. Steve wont get away with that one as it will affect his election for Governor.

I would also imagine that Rick Hill and Jon Sonju have not protected the unethical and criminal act of any Montana Professional like Steve Bullock has in Montana: Angela Wetzsteon's unauthorized practice was protected by Steve Bullock's Tort Defense under Michael King.

Some of you may be wondering who this Montana Cowgirl is. She seems to be writing about and against both major Governor Candidates in Montana. The problem is that she has those horse blinders on for the Democrats, without taking in the whole picture.
The Montana Political News writers are dedicated to telling the truth, and coming from an INDEPENDENT standpoint. Unlike the Cowgirl Blog, who feel Democrats cannot do any wrong, we think its wrong and dangerous to mislead people on the Internet.
The Daily Interlake had this to say about Rick Hill and Jon Sonju:
Hill cited Sonju’s experience in business and working with the Legislature, as well as Sonju’s efforts as chairman of an interim committee that is exploring ways to improve efficiencies in government.
Sonju, a 36-year-old business development manager for his family’s business, Sonju Industrial, said he intends to make a mark with government reform and selling the state.
“Basically, I want to be Montana’s salesman,” said Sonju, who has served in the Legislature since 2004. “I want to sell Montana’s business not only nationally but worldwide.”
Sonju and Hill said they expect the work of the bipartisan Committee on Government Efficiency to yield improvements and efficiencies in state government.
“Rick and I know that the economic problems faced by our state won’t be solved by more government mandates coming from Helena —the real problem-solvers are the thousands of small business owners that are the true economic engine of the state,” Sonju said. “We need to manage a state government we can afford. It’s time Helena understands it’s not their money — it’s your money.”

Rick Hill was Montana's US Representative from 1997-2000. He has experience leading campaigns, and representing constituents. In contrast Steve Bullock abuses his power as Montana Attorney General, and it is such a shame that he feels he can be elected with that track record.

As the Campaign started, Steve Bullock, Rick Hill's Democratic opponent decided that he did not have to follow Montana Election Laws (even though he swears and oath to do so). He raised approximately $100,000 of his current $500,000 without telling voters what office he was seeking. Most would call that fraud. It is actually called Money For Nothing: [and a law student for Free]....

Steve Bullock decided that the long standing policy for not using US Military for political purposes did not apply to him due to being the Montana Attorney General. In contrast to a 36 year old businessman from Kalispell (Hill's Running Mate: Jon Sonju) Steve Bullock picked a lifer military person, former head of the Montana National Guard John Walsh.
The Problem arose when the promotion picture was taken with Walsh's troops for political purposes:

Lets let the candidates for Montana Governor present their own credentials on the campaign trail without any bias from any source. It is true that Steve Bullock abuses his power, and bends the rules. I am sure a US Representative like Rick Hill has regrets, but not nearly as many as Steve Bullock.
Steve Bullock did not benefit Montana Elderly (actual victims) of Zyprexa lawsuit in 2007; the fraud was about $14M with approximately $4M to Steve Bullock's Montana Dept. of Justice

Please make your own choice for Montana Governor. This blog is merely presenting information on both candidates. Unfortunately, there is so much baggage with Steve Bullock that just about anyone should shine in light of his misconduct.

As Jon Sonju is representing the next generation of leaders for Montana, lets hope that Rick Hill and him truly step out and prove that a vote for them is what is best for Montana. As Steve Bullock shows his shameful record as a public official (public fraud, threats) lets hope the Rick Hill ticket can be the right choice for Montana. It is up the candidates to prove it to the Montana Voters. Please make your own choice for Montana Governor. This blog is merely presenting information on both candidates.
